01. We are a creative agency that is sector and media neutral. We have more experience in certain areas, but only until we take on something we’ve never done before. This happens a lot.
02. We have the scale, structure and capabilities of an agency. But we’re as much artisans as we are strategic thinkers. We’re practitioners, doers. We get our hands dirty.
03. We’re based in Toronto. But much like the cosmopolitan city in which we live, our team hails from all corners of the globe. As Canadians, our outlook is inherently international. We are the perceptive outsider looking in. We like that. Our location allows us to build relationships with clients, whether they are across town, or across the continent.
04. We’ve been around for 25 years and some of our client relationships go back that far. While this is meaningful, we don’t talk about it much. What we’re doing now is what matters.
05. We believe the separation between strategy and design is an artificial divide. While we often discuss brand strategy in isolation, it is hard-wired into every creative decision we make.
06. Don’t call us experts. It’s a term we hate. To us, it suggests a formulaic, proprietary (often trademarked) process. Each project – each new client – presents a new challenge. Dealing with these challenges is more about discovering a new path than relying on what we did before.
07. We do strategy, tactics, media, (and metrics, absolutely), but it is design that is at the core of everything we do. Design has incredible power to motivate, influence and move people. And this is what drives us.
08. To date, we’ve accumulated nearly 700 awards in competitions worldwide. This is no reason to hire us. But it does demonstrate our ability to create effective work that gets noticed and elicits an emotional response.
09. We take failure very personally. This drives us to make good work great, great work better, and to fix anything that may go wrong.
10. We won’t shy away from telling you things you may not want to hear. But we’ll do it in the nicest way possible.
11. Trust your gut. It is far more reliable than you might imagine. Or, at the very least, trust ours.
