Chef & Brewer Max Meighen brings Canadian flavours and locally farmed ingredients to the menu for the launch of craft brewery Avling in Toronto later this year. Their core range of beers will include a saison, IPA, lager, and a Baltic porter and focus on using Ontario-grown, seasonal ingredients. Avling will also feature one-off brews for special occasions.
Meighen is converting a space located at a former food distribution centre at 1042 Queen Street East into a brewhouse and bar/restaurant that will include a rooftop garden used to grow ingredients for the kitchen. A portion of the garden will be set aside for use by the community.
Concrete has partnered with Meighen to create Avling’s full brand identity, marketing and promotional assets, and website. The brand will launch later this year.
